How it works

Three gestures, and your big display works for you.

Drag to an edge

The zone lights up before the pointer reaches the edge. Let go and the window snaps in. ⇧ joins zones, Esc cancels.

Shape your zones with the mouse

Columns, grids, one wide and two narrow. Drag the dividers: they snap to ½, ⅓, ¼ and every 5%.

Keep windows in front

A chat, a player, a stack of windows: they stay visible while the others make room.

Layouts

One layout per task, one shortcut away.

Save as many layouts as you like for each display and switch between them: every window moves into place.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Which displays?

Any, but Zones is built for large displays from 32 to 57 inches and beyond, ultrawide or 4K, where halves and thirds are no longer enough.

How is it different from Rectangle?

Zones has the same shortcuts, plus custom zones shaped with the mouse, several layouts per display and windows kept in front.

Why does Zones need Accessibility access?

It's the macOS permission that lets an app move and resize windows. Zones guides you and detects it automatically.

My data?

No account, no data collected. Only the Pro license key is checked online, with Lemon Squeezy, our reseller.

I bought Zones Pro, how do I activate it?

The button at the end of checkout opens Zones and activates the license. Otherwise, paste the key from your email into Zones › Pro. One key works on 3 Macs.

Tidy up your big display.
